ABE LINCOLN CROSSES A CREEK

2009 will mark the bicentennial of the births of two amazing historical figures: Abe Lincoln and Charles Darwin. Both were born on the same day: February 12, 1809. My upcoming picture books, ABE LINCOLN CROSSES A CREEK and THE HUMBLEBEE HUNTER will celebrate these two larger-than-life figures. But I hope, by focusing on stories about Abe as a boy and Darwin at home with his kids, to make their lives more interesting to young readers.
